16.2hh 6yr Old Potential Eventer. This guy was possibly the slowest race horse in Ireland and definitely the soundest ran 13 times and never got placed! Never broke down or has been unsound. Eligible for ROR. Now retired from his racing career this guy has started his education to his new found life.
Taffy (Tafkeer by Marju x a Soviet Star mare) is very sane and sensible and totally safe. No buck, rear, nap and not your usual TB (although I don’t believe there is such a thing!). Fantastic hack both alone and in company, good in traffic. Really marches on without being spooky or silly. Loves his work. Amazingly nice mouth for an ex racehorse (possibly because he was so slow he never took a pull :)!!). Video was taken after 4 days in the arena – another week and he will be riding in a consistent contact. Very intelligent horse that seems to enjoy learning. Really nice guy to have around and to ride. Doesn’t get fresh or silly, doesn’t need lunging before riding – event after a day off. Will make a super eventer for next season or would be a great All-Rounder. So nice to ride a horse that enjoys his work so much. Very safe, no badness in this guy at all. Looking for a rider to produce this guy on, lovely safe project for someone to have in over the winter. This guy will go far in the right hands.
No stable vices, warts, lumps or bumps. Straight moving with nice paces.
Transport can be arranged. Based in Co.Kerry. Open to full vetting and xrays at buyers expense. Closest airport is Farranfore. Can arrange for you to be picked up and dropped off at airport if you would like to come and try before you buy.
