GBF Basel; 17hh 2005 bay gelding by Flagmount Clover Diamond. Top show results and show jumps, events, dressage – he does the lot and does it well. He has balance, scope and manners and boy oh boy is he a smart horse to look at as well.
Basel is open to full vetting. Was vetted in July and passed with flying colours.
In the RDS 2014 Basel was 4th Open Working Hunter.
In Balmoral 2014 he was 3rd Middleweight Hunter and 3rd Open working Hunter
Has won numerous NIF qualifiers in 1.10m, 1m and 90cms.
Placed in lightweight and working hunter all over Ireland and Championships

Absolutely no vices or lumps or bumps. Hacks in company and on his
own. Very brave and very honest horse that is easy to ride and easy to be
around. I have viewed this horse myself and can verify that he is as described. Pure school master that will help a rider out and whether put in deep to a fence or long, he does not stop or run out and is completely
genuine.

So easy to deal with both at home and away at shows/lessons/clinic s, the sort of horse you are genuinely happy taking to shows on your own, never gives you a moments grief. Great to box,shoe,clip,tie up,wash,plait,catch and travel. Fantastic manners both in and out of the stable and can be handled by any of the family.
Literally jumps for fun! However bad the jockey’s error he always helps you out, always sane and sensible, maintains a lovely steady rhythm to a fence, careful, agile and produces the goods when he gets there. Has never said no whatever we have put him at, the scariest fillers and the biggest of fences, a heart of gold. Xc machine who is always looking for a way to help out rather than a way out, fabulous over everything and anything, no problems with ditches,water,steps ect
Three good paces,he works correctly and consistently in all three gaits. He is light in the hand and responsive to the leg aids without being sharp. He is a very straightforward, uncomplicated ride for almost anyone.
Hacks both alone and in company, Super in big open spaces, will go first,last or happily will ride on the buckle. Good in traffic.
Basel is a very very special boy, with his fantastic temperament and his no end of talent he is able for any discipline. Only deserves a 5* home as he deserves only the best.
