SUPER TALENTED 5YO WITH SOME OF THE BEST IRISH PERFORMANCE LINES
Sky is a traditionally bred Irish Sport horse with some of the best Irish performance lines.
As at end of March he has competed in two Star of the Future qualifiers for RUAS winning one both judges gave him excellent marks for his scope, technique, way of going and star quality. He won the second qualifier with a total mark of 83.
Additionally he competed in a registered eventing Ireland event at Tyrella finishing on dressage score of 35 (winner was 31.5) and final placing 8th. Fantastic given it was his first event and his first time inside the white dressage boards. Sky has delivered another amazing day – we moved up to play with the very big boys in the 1 metre class and did an amazing dressage 23 and clear both show jumping and cross country within the time on an up to height course for only his third event.
Sky is obviously fit and ready to go and given what I have seen to date has the potential to follow his half sister to the very top of the sport.
He is by Cougar – a son of the legendary Irish Show Jumper Cruising. On the dam side his dam is Kilcoltrim Kitten by Ghareeb. Kilcoltrim Kitten’ s first foal was Kilcoltrim Kit Kat competing a 5 star and was short listed to represent Brazil at the Paris Olympics. The second dam Sky Rise, who is by Sky Boy, produced Kilcoltrim Jacko who went to 3 star level and Silk Thread also 3 star. We have really taken our time with Sky and he is in the hands of an international event rider.
He has been to several trading shows towards the end of last year and has schooled extremely well cross country. He stands about 17.1 hands with over 9 inches of bone and has excellent conformation. Sky is at a very early stage in his education and would be ideal for anyone wanting to put their own stamp on a lovely young horse with amazing potential. He is showing all the traits to match his half brother in the eventing field. He just oozes potential.
