Meet Jacques, a Top Quality 16hh 14 yrs Normandy Cob Gelding. A Superlative horse to get back confidence and to be a friend for life.
Previously used as a stallion with top Normandy Cob bloodlines including Quiri Quiri Qui, Violin and Scoubidou on both sides. All notable stallions in the Normandy Cob world. Gelded as the breed is rare and the gene pool small. So no longer feasible for him to be kept as a Stallion.
This top quality 16hh 14yrs Normandy cob was Gelded around 7 years ago. A gentleman to work with or be turned out with other horses even in a mixed herd and totally non-aggressive and not a problem to keep around other horses. The Normandy breed are hardy and long living and working, but do like turnout time so not suitable for someone who wants to keep them stabled 24/7 ideally.
This horse is from a rare breed and a bit of a bay unicorn! So what level rider will he suit:
The Jouvins who breed these horses and have for 50 years, rate Jacques at Energy level 1 and suitable for a level 1 or 2 rider. With a level 1; a horse that we would consider suitable for the RDA 2. An average rider who can walk, trot and canter in some sort of balance. If you are a bit nervous then this horse would suit you but maybe not if you’re a quivering wreck getting on!
Jacques will be 5 stage vetted before travelling and that is included in the price.
Delivery to the UK can be easily arranged at Approx. cost of £450.
Due to Covid, we will be selling this Horse Unseen. However, we absolutely must be sent some ridden video of the intended rider/s to make absolutely sure that any horse is a perfect match and we ask everybody to do this. No video, no horse, unless you’re riding at a high competitive level.
