16.2.hh Chesnut Gelding for sale. Lovely quality horse, would make a superb Eventer or Riding Club All-Rounder. Lovely Up-hill Ride. 8yrs Old with great breeding, he is by Easy lift who was by the prestigious Chair Lift. Fantastic Brain with a super attitude towards everything. Very quiet to do everything with, great to work with on the ground and under saddle. Great to hack out alone and in company. Good in traffic. Very honest chap with great movement, scope and attitude. Chester has had a slow start to life through no fault of his own. Broken as a four year old this chap was then turned out in the field for the last 3yrs and brought in for the very rare hack. Since Xmas he’s been ridden more regularly by a 70yr Old man who has been hacking him out and doing some simple cross country schooling with him. The video shows his first ever time in an arena! Chester is in no way difficult. In some ways it is an advantage that he has done so little. He is totally unspoilt! A complete blank canvas for someone to bring on for themselves. Stands patiently to tack up, stands for you to mount. Really enjoys his work and is a quick learner. Chester appears to be delighted that he is actually doing something apart from being wasted in the field. Would be great to see this guy reach his potential. In his video you can see he is a green on the flat – no surprises there!! Works nicely off your leg and his transitions for a green horse are rather impressive. Lovely attitude and no badness. Popped in over a few coloured fences very sensibly, didn’t attempt to stop or run out. Also schooled around a cross country course and popped everything he was asked to jump. Just bowled away in with his ears pricked. Chester is good in traffic and hacks happily alone or in company. This guy is a fantastic project for someone that doesn’t want to go through the breaking process or have something young and unpredictable in the yard as he really is honest and genuine. If a little work is put in he will be a fantastic Riding Club horse by the summer and would go on to event. Very honest description to ensure this guy goes to the right home where he will finally be able to show the world what he can do. I have seen him wind-suck once since he has been in my yard this week – while he was waiting for his morning feed! This was the only time that I have seen him do this and I am in the yard all day. I am sure with a little turn out everyday or a toy to amuse him in his stable this would not be an issue. We have been battling with the Irish Weather and had no turn-out what so ever.
